What is the Gospel?

How can I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

The Gospel

The Gospel means “good news.” It is the good news that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died for our sins on the cross, and rose again 3 days later conquering sin and death in the process.

Why do I need the Gospel (good news) of Jesus?

“For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

So what?

“For the wages (payment) for sin is death,…” (Romans 6:23a)

Eternal death? What can I do about it?

  1. Understand what God did for you through Jesus Christ!

“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

2. Believe that what Jesus did for you is enough to save you from your sin!

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness (being right with God), and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)
